Barron Trump, the youngest son of former President Donald Trump and Melania Trump, has been named a Florida delegate for the upcoming Republican National Convention. At 18 years old, Barron will join his siblings Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and Tiffany Trump as at-large delegates, according to an announcement from the Florida Republican Party.

This selection places multiple members of the Trump family in prominent roles within the party’s major event, reflecting their continued influence in the GOP. Eric Trump is set to serve as the delegation chair for the convention, which is scheduled to take place in Milwaukee from July 15 to July 18.

The inclusion of Barron Trump in the delegation coincides with significant personal milestones and challenges for the Trump family. The former president, who is the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, has been attending court for his ongoing “hush money” trial in New York. Despite these legal entanglements, he was granted judicial permission to attend Barron’s high school graduation on May 17.

Other notable figures selected as at-large delegates include Kimberly Guilfoyle, the fiancée of Donald Trump Jr., and Michael Boulos, Tiffany Trump’s husband.

The selection comes during a period of reorganization within the Florida Republican Party, following the resignation of former chairman Christian Ziegler amid allegations of sexual assault. Evan Power has since taken over the leadership.

Evan Power highlighted the strength of the Florida delegation, stating, “We are fortunate to have a great group of grassroots leaders, elected officials, and members of the Trump family working together as part of the Florida delegation to the 2024 Republican National Convention.”
