A woman in Las Vegas previously accused of telling authorities she was too “pretty” to be arrested has allegedly confessed to murdering her mother, according to multiple reports.

Hend Bustami, 28, is facing an open murder charge in connection with her mother’s death, according to police.

The victim, identified by KLAS-TV as 61-year-old Afaf Hussanen, died from multiple stab wounds at the Las Vegas home she shared with her daughter, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

According to the report, Bustami allegedly called 911 around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday to confess to the murder.

“I think I killed my mommy,” she allegedly told dispatch before hanging up, according to the station.

According to KLAS, the California Highway Patrol found an allegedly blood-covered Bustami driving down Interstate 15 near Barstow, California, and arrested her.

According to the station, during an interview with police, Bustami allegedly admitted to stabbing her mother to death with glass shards after the two had an argument. Bustami is then said to have fled to California.

According to police, she will be extradited back to Las Vegas.

It was unclear on Friday whether Bustami had retained an attorney to speak on her behalf.

Just before her mother’s death, Bustami was arrested at Harry Reid International Airport on a charge of public misconduct, according to KVVU-TV and the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

According to KVVU, authorities were called to the airport’s Chili’s restaurant on August 31 after Bustami, who police said appeared drunk and belligerent, allegedly skipped out on paying her bill.

When officers confronted her, she claimed they were harassing her because they “had never seen anyone as pretty as her,” according to the station.

According to KLAS, Bustami had a court appearance scheduled for Thursday for the August airport arrest, but it’s unclear whether she actually appeared or entered a plea to those charges.
