Former Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette was arrested in Atlanta this Wednesday, as per booking records from Fox 5 Atlanta.

At 37 years old, Lockette faces several serious charges including possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of or attempt to commit a felony, possession of a vehicle with an altered vehicle identification number (VIN), and receiving stolen property.

Lockette joined the Seahawks in 2011 and remained with the team throughout his NFL career until a severe neck injury forced him to retire in 2015. Aside from his time with the Seahawks, he had brief periods with the 49ers and Bears.

He was part of the Seahawks’ team that competed in Super Bowl XLIX and retired with a record of 22 receptions for 451 yards and four touchdowns. Lockette also had a notable postseason presence, making seven receptions for 109 yards across six games.

In 2019, Lockette was honored with induction into the Hall of Fame of the Boys & Girls Club of Albany, Georgia. He is currently involved as a player advisor for the Harvard Football Players Health Study, which focuses on enhancing football safety.
