Omarosa Manigault Newman, a former contestant on Donald Trump’s reality show “The Apprentice” who later served as a senior adviser in his administration, recently shared her unsettling observations about the former president’s demeanor in court. As Donald Trump awaited the resumption of his hush money trial on Monday, his expression caught the attention of many, including Newman.

Speaking to CNN’s Erin Burnett, Newman expressed her concerns about Trump’s grimace. “The look that he was giving, I mean the images, it kind of scares me a bit because that’s the look before Donald Trump does something totally and completely reckless,” she remarked. Newman suggested that Trump’s scowl was not just a mere expression of dissatisfaction but a prelude to potentially disruptive behavior.

“I looked at that, I’m thinking, he is plotting some type of way to get back at the judge to do something big over the weekend to distract from the fact that he is totally out of control and not able to in any way shape his future in that courtroom,” Newman added, hinting at Trump’s desperation and potential to retaliate against legal boundaries.

Earlier on the same day, Trump faced significant judicial repercussions as Judge Juan Merchan found him in contempt of court for the tenth time. The contempt ruling came after Trump violated a gag order, leading to a $1,000 fine and a stern warning from Judge Merchan. The judge cautioned that further violations could result in imprisonment, a scenario that Newman believes Trump has strategically calculated to garner sympathy from his supporters by playing the victim.

Newman also speculated about the possible presence of Trump’s family members in future court sessions. To date, only Eric Trump has appeared in court alongside his father. According to Newman, it’s unlikely that Eric will attend again. She also doubted that Melania Trump, the former first lady, or Ivanka Trump would visit, possibly leaving Donald Trump Jr. as the only family member who might show up, driven more by obligation than desire.

Newman’s insights provide a glimpse into the internal and external turmoil surrounding Trump during his trial, highlighting the potential consequences of his courtroom demeanor and the complex family dynamics at play as the legal proceedings unfold.
